This type of coffee, the Peaberry, was coffee that made me fall in love with coffee. They are mutations of coffee that grow a single bean inside the coffee cherry – there’s no way to grow them specifically on their own.
Because they’re an “accident” the only way to collect them is to hand sort all the beans and ONLY pick the peaberries by hand. This means that they’re literally hand-selected from hundreds of thousands of other coffee beans during the bagging process.
Since there’s only one bean to the cherry, ALL the flavor gets collected in a single bean. As an added bonus – they roast better because they roll in the drum.
Because it’s roasted light – you’ll get more than enough caffeine to fill your ‘caffeine-o-meter’.
